NASA's Human Research Program (HRP) employs human analog missions in various environments to simulate aspects of human space exploration missions including to the Moon, asteroids, and Mars. An analog mission is an activity conducted on earth with characteristics that resemble the challenges of a space mission such as isolation and confinement. The analogs missions are used to conduct research informing the future direction of human exploration of the solar system. Analog mission participants support NASA’s objectives by participating in relevant and valuable scientific research.
This website provides background information on two NASA analogs currently recruiting subjects to participate in these studies. All highly motivated individuals with an interest in contributing to space exploration are invited to review the information and if interested to submit the application for consideration as a NASA analog crew member.
